Jewish Community-Focused Organisation | Financial Controller About the Business This well-established, Jewish community-focused organisation is developing a major new sports and leisure facility in Sydney, set to open in 2027. With a strong membership base and community heritage, the organisation plays a central role in delivering high-quality recreational, cultural, and social experiences. The Opportunity Reporting to the CEO, this role will lead financial management and governance through a critical build and transition phase into full operations. You will operate as the number one finance lead, overseeing project reporting pre-opening and establishing a scalable finance function. Post-launch, you will manage end-to-end finance operations, ensuring strong controls, compliance, and performance reporting while partnering closely with the CEO and Board. Key Responsibilities Lead financial statement preparations, month-end, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management Oversee project financials during construction and transition to operations Establish and lead the finance and administration team Ensure compliance across statutory, audit, and regulatory requirements Maintain robust controls, governance, and risk frameworks Partner with CEO, Board, and stakeholders including donors and members About You CA/CPA qualified with 5 years’ experience and leadership exposure Experience from a membership based organization is highly regarded.
